Ticon Platform: how it works

Ticon platform

Ticon platform, which is based on algorithmic approach to a Big Data, can be depicted as a tree. The roots are in the collection of the information of different types from various sources. The trunk is formed by Artificial Intelligence modules, which process the data and pump it into a comprehensive model of transportation network. That model consolidates information, and studies each road segment with analytical tools. The resulting information is presented via Ticon reporting system.

Data

Ticon uses enormous array of data from a number of independent sources, which is thousands of times greater than in traditional methods. Proprietary algorithmic approach to data processing ensure appropriate interpretation of information supplied by each contributor.

AI modules

For the processing of multi-source data, Ticon platform uses several Artificial Intelligence Modules, which describe road network, means of traffic control and vehicles behavior. Data processing by Artificial Intelligence Modules allows accurate estimation of all vital parameters of the traffic flow. These includes true volume estimation, with the use of several complimenting and cross-verified methods, and among them is the utilization of deterministic speed-density relationship in dynamic form.

Virtual Transportation Model

Ticon virtual transportation model contains everything required to compute all, or almost all metrics needed in practice and recommended by Highway Capacity Manual.

Analytical Tools

Analytical tools extract specific information from virtual transportation model to deliver traffic flow volume and traffic flow speed information, as well as specific metrics: traffic delay, travel time delay, saturation degree, LOS, etc.

Reporting system

Ticon product – traffic maps, dashboard and customer oriented reports allow comprehensive areal analysis of traffic network. Reports provide the user with ready-made information for decision making, are generated based on simple formal requests, and require no special training, additional data processing or modeling.
